The instructor, who pleaded anonymity, claims to have been friends with Nana Abena for three years and confirmed that she is a calm and collected person and finds it strange that Nana has to go to the extent of sharing nude videos of herself with the general public.
He however stated that during their friendship, it was only on Monday 9th February that he noticed something strange about Abena's attitude and can confidently say that Abena might be suffering from bipolar disease.
Bipolar disease, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. Symptoms of bipolar disorder are severe. They are different from the normal ups and downs that everyone goes through from time to time.
People suffering from this disease usually have an unrealistic belief in their abilities, have racing thoughts and easily take up new projects.
The gym instructor, who is also a Medical Student, added that Abena picked up drinks from his fridge at the gym and gave them out to friends as part of her campaign strategies without his knowledge which he finds really odd about her and they ended up arguing about that and he recalls that is the last time he saw her on campus.
"This is unusual of Nana Abena. She is the type of person who asks before doing something. She is the creative and innovative type of person. The sudden change in her attitude baffled me", he stated.
The gym instructor added that he spoke to Nana Abena's father about the change in his daughter's attitude and he confirmed that they also find it very strange that their daughter is behaving as such and are looking for a psychiatrist for her treatment.
Meanwhile, another friend of Nana Adwoa said the last time he saw her was on Monday the 16th of February, around 8pm when she requested that he helps her pick her bag to a hotel because her hostel room was too warm due to the power outage at the time.
Speaking to some of her flat mates, they all claimed that Nana was a very cool person who does not come across as a person capable of posting nude videos of herself but a colleague from the gym said otherwise.
She said "Nana is a very loud person so I know she is capable of doing that".
